Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) is a qualification that equals the first year of an undergraduate degree.

You can find more details about Certificates of Higher Education here.

Most people will take CertHE after they have completed college or sixth form qualifications like BTECS or A-Levels. Sometimes people will choose to take a gap year before they start, or even spend some time working before they begin.

Students study three modules concurrently per semester. This is a full time distance learning course and during each semester we recommend students study for around 30 hours per week. There are three thirty-minute Masterclasses and three hour-long interactive classes per week, plus various scheduled 1-2-1 Live Tutorials throughout each term.

Certificates of Higher Education are perfect for people who want a recognised qualification from a university, but do not want to yet commit to taking a full undergraduate degree qualification. You don’t have to commit to three years of study when you begin.

A popular option with people who complete a Certificate of Higher Education is to carry on studying for one or two more years to gain an undergraduate degree. Of course, not everyone does this, and it is also common for people to go on to start a career in the area in which they have studied.
We offer the courses at £5970 a year + £25 reg fee. We offer different payment plans for students to help spread out the cost if you don’t want to pay it all up front. Also, if you are in the UK* student finance is there to help out with a loan to cover the cost of this, and the good thing is that you don’t have to start paying it back until you have got a job and are earning enough money to do so. You can learn more about student finance on the University Student Finance page.
